On October 5, 2015 durig the flag raising ceremony, arrival honors were given to twenty eight (28) City Officials from the City of Chiba, Japan, headed by its Mayor Toshihito Kumagai who paid their official visit to Quezon City. They were treated to a breakfast at the Bulwagang Amoranto with Honorable City Mayor Herbert Bautista and Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte. During the day, they were toured around the City and had their lunch at the Quezon Heritage House. They have also visit and observed during 75th Regular Session of the 19th City Council and had a picture-taking with the Officers and members of the City Council. In the evenining, a welcome dinner reception was set for them at the Crown Plaza Hotel. They will be back in their City on October 7, 2015.

On November 9, 1972, Resolution No. 09245, S-72 was passed entitled: "A Resolution Expressing the Appreciation and Gtratitutde of the Quezon City Administration to the Jaycees of Chiba City, Japan, and to the Capitol Jaycees of the Quezon City, Philippines, for their Invaluable Service in Transforming into Reality the Siter-Hood Relationship between Chiba City and Quezon City."
